Sea cadets help recreate Romantic Period

A photographer's enlisted the help of the Nottingham Sea Cadets to help recreate a famous pre-raphaelite painting.

Re-creation of The Lady of Shallot by John Knight

John Knight, with the aid of St Anns model Karina Simms and the Nottingham Sea Cadets has recreated the famous pre-raphaelite painting The Lady of Shalott.

The Victorian original by John William Waterhouse has been recreated using the latest digital photography and image editing software.

The restaging took place on the banks of the River Trent in Colwick.

The sea cadets supplied the boat, steadied the vessel and acted as advisors to John.

The finished work was part of a now finished exhibition of 12 restaged paintings on show at the View From The Top Gallery (top floor of Waterstones), Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham.
