FaithYou are in: Nottingham > Faith > Praying for divine intervention ![]() Praying for divine interventionBryony Wood has a brain tumour. She is hoping God will answer her prayers. Bryony found out that she had a brain tumour in September 2007. Scans showed a growth of about 1.15cm around her acoustic nerve. Brain tumors are never good news, and although these acoustic neuromas are slow growing, if left unattended they can cause major problems. At some point after diagnosis they usually have to be surgically removed or treated with radio therapy. However, Bryony feels quite calm about her diagnosis. Prayer strategyShe asked her friends and family to pray for her on a given day each month. Bryony says the prayer strategy is helping her cope with her disease. "I have felt a sense of peace and security and no panic, which does perhaps say that this prayer has been helpful." "I'm praying that He will make it go but I trust him over and above whatever else. "Sometimes when you are in something you don't know where you are going but you trust that God is with you, and that's fine." Help playing audio/video last updated: 02/02/2009 at 18:30 SEE ALSO
