Ronika is a one girl band from Nottingham who writes, sings and produces music.
As well as making her own music, Ronika has been a guest vocalist with Nottingham band Swimming and has recently collaborated with producer Lillica Libertine to form Hotline.
Lillica got in touch through MySpace, so the two never met not even when recording the track...
"He sent me the track, I recorded my bits and then we sent it back... He said he wanted a bit of early Madonna and a bit ethereal."
Impersonating voices is something Ronika does well. Her music includes a myriad of styles.
"I've got lots of different styles, probably from copying lots of different people.
"I like to try out different styles and impersonate different singers and come up with different sounds."
Ronika recently won a BBC urban music bursary to make an album. The process involved taking part in lectures and listening to industry expects.
One of the guest lecturers included hip hop star Dizzee Rascal. Ronika says:
"[Dizzee Rascal] gave us a Q and A, it was awesome."
