Roz Mita, from Newark, rents mannequins for a living. She's currently storing much of her stock at home. "At any one time I'm living with 20 to 25 [mannequins] in the house." Help playing audio/video Still lifeShe didn't ever plan to share her house with so many models. "I've always been in retail. Last year I set myself up as a retail consultant. "I thought that within that I should pay particular attention to window displays. "I decided to build up a prop inventory. So I started with just one mannequin that went into a shop window in Newark. It's escalated from there." Her business has snowballed, leading to a bit of a problem with space. ![]() "I started buying them and buying them and buying them. I've now got... actually I've lost count but I know there are more than 100. "They all have names because it's the easiest way to identify them." Theatres, exhibitions, launch parties are all clients. Roz's most recent customer was John Barrowman (aka Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood) who needed two mannequins for his stage tour. Naked truthAll those eyes would give most people the creeps - not Roz. "Although it sounds a little strange - we've just got used to it."
