Aaron Hunt, 19, is currently starring in the modelling industry's equivalent to Pop Idol, LIVING's Britain's Next Top Model. Top of the classThe teenager was in Year 9 when she noticed that she was taller than everyone else. "Then I always wore flat shoes so I didn't tower above the boys. I'm not paranoid about my height anymore and wear heels whenever I can." Help playing audio/video It was at about this time that she decided she might use her height to her advantage but it wasn't until she saw a piece in a local newspaper that things took off. "I was looking through the Evening Post for a job and saw this advert. I ran to my mums and took two pictures in a bikini, my hair scraped back, no make-up, looking really ugly. I sent them in and got a phone call saying that I'd made it through to the first round." Eyes wide openThe TV series has opened the 19-year-old's eyes to what it takes to make it. "We've been on a lot of photo shoots and education days where you learn how to walk in heels, how to pose, how to speak to people and act. "I started out on day one as a shy Aaron, hiding away from the cameras. But the show's made me much more confident in myself. "To be a top model you need personality, confidence and the look." ![]() Since the show she's been on the catwalk in London, lined up a second show, been interviewed by a national magazine and has a few newspaper interviews lined up. "So many people are ringing me I'm losing count." ExposureNow Aaron's had a taste of it she's not too keen to return to her former life of retail work. The next step is to turn professional but to do this she needs an agent and to get her face about as much as possible. "Because I have been on Britain's Next Top Model hopefully I can get a career out of this and go further in what I want to do. "I've signed contracts so I'm not allowed to sign up straight away. But hopefully I can get an agent after the show has been broadcast."
