It's a long way from Hucknall, Nottingham to the sunny shores of California yet a local band have made the transition with style... well kind of.

Throw in a few more top US shows, including 'October Road' and 'ER', and you may start to wonder whether the five-piece band will soon be making it big in America before their native homeland:

"If we take off anywhere I'll be happy!"

'The Start'

After being signed to Suretone records, Headway have recently released 'The Start EP' for online download which has provided fans with a sweet taste of the eagerly anticipated debut album.

The band spent six months recording in America for both releases and the long trip allowed them plenty of time to feed their creative juices and add some top new tunes to their archive.

Eventually a list of over 50 songs was whittled down to create a smaller selection the band felt best reflected their sound as a whole:

"It kind of went half and half in the end. There are old songs that just won't die, they're still around and will probably be around for years.

"And then there was new stuff that we liked where it was going and it would probably be an indication for the future maybe, how things might go."

Dates

There is no set date for the album release, however the band indicated that it will hopefully be around the mid-year point.
