Flooding in Nottinghamshire 2007Weather forecasts suggest more floods could be on the way for towns and villages across Nottinghamshire. Villages and towns across Nottinghamshire have been badly affected by the recent heavy rain. Just when the water levels seem to be subsiding more rain is expected over the weekend. Residents who have suffered the most have been sending in their incredible pictures, which you can see in our gallery (22 - 28 June). Weekend weatherThere's a warning of heavy, persistent rain for Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties over the weekend. Between 15 and 25 mm of rainfall is expected. Flood watches remain for the Trent and Idle. Latest newsPeople affected by the floods are being warned to look after their health when they're cleaning up. The advice includes covering cuts and open wounds, laundering clothes and bedding in a hot wash, and using disinfectant to clean the kitchen.
