New name for a new ground

Nottingham Forest want to move to a new stadium in 2014. We asked you to vote for your favourite name for the ground.

The reality it that Nottingham Forest's new ground will be named after the club's sponsor of the day.

Forest ground vote results

Just look at what happened to Bolton Wanderers and Leicester City when they moved.

However, we asked what would you want the stadium to be called?

We asked for your suggestions and we gave you ten of the most popular to choose from.

The Brian Clough Arena

There was some what of an inevitability in the winner, 'The Brian Clough Arena', it took 24% of the vote.

There is perhaps a surprise in second place with the 'Nigel Doughty Stadium' with 15%.

Some fans were calling for the Chairman's resignation after Forest's failure to get promotion.

However, to some, Nigel Doughty remains a saviour after he rescued the club with his own money from administration in 2001.

Coming in at third place was the 'New City Ground' and the least popular choice was 'The Sherwood Arena' with 1%.
