Nottingham musician Chris Summerlin has been in some heavy rock bands in his time. He first arrived in the city from his native Peterborough in 1999 as part of the band Wolves! (of Greece).
Nowadays he's playing the riffs for Lords while work as a freelance graphic designer helps pay the bills. But he's got an interesting alter-ego in the form of Last of the Real Hardmen. Under the moniker he's just released an album called 10,000 Miles. NoodlingIt doesn't rock quite as much as Lords. Indeed, Chris himself has described it as noodling. "I think if everybody in the world bought a copy of it that might like it, I'd still probably make about £20." ![]() Chris Summerlin and friend "All the other bands I've been in have been really loud bands and this is just an opportunity not to do that." Let's not rockThe sound of Last of the Real Hardmen might have limited appeal but it hasn't put him off. He's currently working on a new CD that'll have just two extended tracks but flesh out the guitar sound with drums and saxophone. Help playing audio/video Meanwhile his main band, Lords, are hoping to head off to Texas in the new year - if they can get the cash together. last updated: 21/10/2008 at 12:17 SEE ALSOYou are in: Nottingham > Entertainment > Music > Last of the Real Hardmen Venue websites
