| British Art Show 6 | The British Art Show 6 runs from 22nd April - 25th June 2006 at venues throughout the city. Sideshow is a free event bringing together more than 40 artists to show the best of contemporary art again at a series of venues across Nottingham. It runs from 21st April until 4th June. Bruce Ayling and Hannah Conroy went to college together but didn't start working as a team until much later. Since then they've not only exhibited in Nottingham but in the Netherlands while Bruce has had shows in Switzerland and Japan. For their latest project they'll be back in the city as part of Sideshow 2006. Fight for Sore Eyes is described as an exhibit where the artists completely take over the living room space at My House Gallery and transform it into an art-spectacular-wonderland. Sounds a bit over the top but we're promised an undergrowth of art objects from subcultures, pop cultures, trash cultures and art cultures. The installation won't be static, it'll constantly evolve and change using light, sound and moving objects. And you'll be able to view it from a bird watching hut! Nigel Bell's been talking to Bruce and Hannah to find more about:- - How they started working together
- Past works
- The Fight for Sore Eyes project
- Sideshow in general
