The toilets at the spectacular Pitcher and Piano match the overall splendour of the rest of the bar. On ascending the spiral staircase to reach them, you are greeted with a view unlike any you are likely to see elsewhere. | "I'm looking for a female to review Nottinghamshire's ladies loos. If you're interested contact: nottingham@bbc.co.uk" | | Huw Greem |
The spectacle of a bar surrounded by the great and good in their glad rags in a church building is one, which never gets boring. Once inside, the bright lights and shiny white tiles give the room the divine radiance one would expect. The locks work well and toilet paper is plentiful. Even the brass taps feel as if they are part of the set for a film about heaven. However, unlike heaven, there is an aspect of guilt as you realise you are answering natures call in close proximity to a stained glass window once admired by a faithful congregation. |
