The Loo Reviews

Pitcher & Piano

The Loo Review by Huw Green
Standard venue reviews will afford an insight into the décor, the music and the general mood of a venue. Nottingham student Huw prefers to study the loo. He's been checking out the Pitcher & Piano toilets.

Profile : Huw Green

Huw Green lives in Nottingham and loves the burgeoning Drum and Bass scene as well as Selectadisc and the Broadway cinema. In addition to attending as many gigs as possible, he likes to keep an eye on the weird and wacky around the city. He enjoys windsurfing and goes to Rutland water to catch a breeze whenever there is enough time. When he grows up, Huw wants to be Donald Sutherland in M.A.S.H.

The toilets at the spectacular Pitcher and Piano match the overall splendour of the rest of the bar.

On ascending the spiral staircase to reach them, you are greeted with a view unlike any you are likely to see elsewhere.

"I'm looking for a female to review Nottinghamshire's ladies loos. If you're interested contact: nottingham@bbc.co.uk"
Huw Greem

The spectacle of a bar surrounded by the great and good in their glad rags in a church building is one, which never gets boring.

Once inside, the bright lights and shiny white tiles give the room the divine radiance one would expect.

The locks work well and toilet paper is plentiful.

Even the brass taps feel as if they are part of the set for a film about heaven.

However, unlike heaven, there is an aspect of guilt as you realise you are answering natures call in close proximity to a stained glass window once admired by a faithful congregation.
