Life of Kate

Local man Rob Janovic has written a book about Kate Bush. He talks to us about the life of pop's most reclusive artist.

On November 7th Rob Janovic's biography of Kate Bush was released on the same day as the singer's new album 'Aerials'.

Rob has spoken to people that have worked with Kate over the years but has never met the notoriously reclusive artist. Not many have and when they do her private life is strictly out of bounds.

He says, "As soon as you start talking about Kate Bush the actual person, the shutters go up and she'd give the interviewer an icy stare."

However he insists Kate Bush is "very unique and people have a fondness for her."

In a fascinating interview Rob talks to BBC Radio Nottingham's Alan Clifford about:-

  • Kate's early development
  • Her connection to Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd
  • Her private life
  • Why Kate Bush has been so successful
  • The gossip
  • Her albums
