Sarah Julian

Sarah Julian

Heanor-born Sarah started off at BBC Radio Nottingham has always loved talking - she's now found the perfect job.

Sarah spent what she calls "three brilliant years" in Liverpool earning a degree in modern history and English before moving home to the East Midlands.

With a varied career which includes being a cocktail waitress and face painting she now finds that she is happiest chatting away to the microphone.

Away from BBC Radio Nottingham her main claim to fame is that she was once featured in the Guiness Book of Records for sending a balloon the furthest - it ended up in the USA and resulted in a brief appearance on national television.

Grow your own

Fed-up with escalating supermarket prices and tasteless grub? Sarah and the gardeners, John and Martin, are helping amateur 'vegetable plotters' with a new, monthly newsletter (Word document).
