About BeaBorn: 28th April Star sign: I'm a Taurean born in the Year of the Rat so I like to aim for red objects and do it with creative, hard-working panache. Hobbies: Books - Reading to my many toddlers keep my storytelling skills honed. Food - I love the idea of gourmet Anglo-Nigerian cooking. Sport: If you wanna look as good as me, then breast feeding is the key. Favourite music: Angelique Kidjoe, Lemar, Les Nubians, John Legend, Donald Lawrence and Manu Dibango. Bea's first introduction to broadcasting came at Loughborough University where she hosted the Soul and R 'n' B show. Making a career change from Mechanical Engineering, Beatrice - to give her full name - has spent the past few years developing the local arts and culture scene from a community to a professional level. When she is not chatting on the microphone for Nottingham's African and Caribbean communities, she is busy producing professional theatre and arts activities, as well as developing media projects. Bea certainly has that buzz and the African and Caribbean communities of Nottingham is where that buzz is at!
