From BBC Sport: Mansfield Town manager Carlton Palmer believes this final day result was unfair after his side's improved second half display. The hosts took a 26th-minute lead when captain Gary Alexander swept in a cross from Derek Duncan. Seven minutes later Lee Steele got clear on the left and, from his cross, Alexander headed home a second. The Stags finally found the target in the 87th minute through Callum Lloyd but it was too little too late. Quotes from Carlton Palmer: "We were very poor first half... second half we dominated the game... we should have got a point out of the game." "There was a definitely a penalty off Richie Barker but the referee didn't give it. It was in the last minute and I think if it had been earlier in the game he'd have probably given it." "I was pleased with the second half with the players that are going to be here next season... I'm looking forward to getting some players in who want to work the way I want to work."
