John Nicol doesn't profess to be an expert snapper, but he does have a keen eye for a good picture. "I cannot paint or draw and I am a purely amateur photographer" he confesses, "but I love capturing images of what I see on my walks." Click the link in the top right or at the bottom of this page to see John's photos of sunsets and sunrises over Nottinghamshire. John walks his dogs in the area around Attenborough Nature reserve, the farm near Inham Nook or the sunken Church at Bramcote village. John grew up in Notts and even though he moved away for a while, he's always thought of the county at home. "I live and work in the Beeston, Chilwell area and have done on and off since going to School here. I moved away to work in London for 10 years but always thought of Nottingham as my home and returned in 1993 and have lived in Chilwell ever since with my family. "Since having to walk the dogs twice a day I really get to see the seasons change, which is brilliant, taking the time to look about and when the mood takes me. "If I have remembered the camera, I take photographs!"
