Tom Graham
Tom Graham

Tom Graham - The Sausage King

He's a man listened to by millions every week but his big dream is to make it on the Big Screen.

About Tom Graham

He was born in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire on 8th January 1980.

He joined The Archers in 1997.

He got a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of Manchester.

He supports Notts County.

In an uncertain world it would appear Nottinghamshire born Tom Graham would have a job for life.

At the age of just 25 he's listened to by millions of the most ardent fans in the world. But he could wander around most cities without being mobbed.

Tom Graham is The Sausage King, Tom Archer of the Archers, BBC Radio 4's long running everyday tale of farming / village folk.

In theory Tom could enjoy the role of Pat and Tony Archer's son for years to come. But you never can tell in the land of soap. His radio elder brother John got squashed by a tractor!

Nigel Bell's been talking to Tom Graham about:-

  • What got him into acting
  • Life at the Central / Carlton TV workshop
  • The big break in a TV version of The Famous Five
  • Getting the Archers role
  • Life on Grange Hill as Nick Edwards
  • Bit parts on Hollyoaks and Casualty
  • Being Tom Archer - but for how long?
  • Movie ambitions
  • Out and about in Nottinghamshire

The Archers is broadcast on BBC Radio 4 every weekday night (apart from Saturday) at 7pm.
