They've had five decades in the business but Status Quo show no signs of packing it in. It's several years since Radio 1 decided not to play their records any more but it hasn't stopped the Quo breaching the top 40 again in recent weeks. They've got (another) greatest hits album out (XS All Areas) and they naturally want to promote it. They'll be back in Nottingham on 4th November to treat the Royal Concert Hall to a mix of rock and blues. Nigel Bell spoke to France Rossi to find out what keeps the Quo machine moving. During the interview he talks about:- - What keeps the band gigging
- How the live experience has changed from the 60's
- Is the music scene as good as the old days?
- Playing the Boat Club and pubs in Nottinghamshire
- Still keen on writing new material
- The buzz of having a hit
- Still recruiting new Quo fans
