 | | Shane Meadows and Paddy Considine |
- How the film was a return to working very very simply - no caravans, no trailers, no money... if you were out on location and wanted to sit down you'd just have to sit on the grass.
- How, by making a focused film, he seems to have made one with widespread appeal - the distribution rights have even been snapped up in Japan, along with a comic book version of the film!
- His reasons for filming in Matlock - he was inspired by his upbringing in a small town - he wanted to look at drug problems in this sort of setting as feature films tend to concentrate on big city problems.

He also discusses filmmaking in general...
 | | Shane Meadows |
- How he likes to make films on instinct, using improvisational techniques and rehersing with the actors on location before bringing in the crew.
- What makes his films unique : "What separates my films is that I care about the people who are in them."
- The importance of the Central Workshop in Nottingham - it's where he's found most of the talent for his films, including Small Time, Romeo Brass, 24 Seven and Dead Man's Shoes.
- What he's working on at the moment, including what he calls his Gangs of New York project about a gypsy bare knuckle fighter.

Oh, and he tells us about his choice of football shirt... - Shane prefers Notts County's away shirt as the home kit shows off his boobies too much!
