Can't say we think much of the name but Clayhill must have something about them because they're good buddies with Nottingham based film director Shane Meadows. Our Shane's produced a short film called Northern Soul which includes several tracks by the band. If you want to see it get along early to their gig at The Social on Friday October 1st; it'll be showing just before Clayhill take to the stage.
Featuring former members of Sunhouse and Red Snapper, the group delivers sweeping soundscapes; perfect for the big screen. During our interview double bass player / percussionist Ali Friend talks about:- - The Clayhill name
- Getting together
- The Sunhouse connection
- Supporting Chelsea
- The live effect
- The Shane Meadows connection
- Ocean Colour Scene!
