The Blue Nile

Blue Nile - High

Paul Buchanan talks to Nigel Bell
Eight years after their last album The Blue Nile finally return with a CD of crafted beauty.

Blue Nile Facts

The band is made up of Paul Buchanan, PJ Moore and Robert Bell.

They met at Glasgow University.

They've released four albums - A Walk Across the Rooftops (1983), Hats (1989), Peace At Last (1996) and High (2004).

You can't rush quality - which is just as well in the case of The Blue Nile. Twenty one years into their career they've only just got around to releasing album number four.

But the wait has been worth it. High lives up to its name - it's high quality throughout its nine tracks.

Singer Paul Buchanan has been talking to Nigel Bell about the album and a possible tour next year.

During the interview Paul talks about:-

High album cover by the Blue Nile
  • The making of High.
  • Why the long wait.
  • What he does between albums.
  • Mel C cover versions
  • That possible gig in Nottingham

High by The Blue Nile is released on Sanctuary records.
