Hockerton Housing Project: The sheep shed
The project has also extended its self-supply of food from mainly vegetables to some animals.

The project inherited a small flock of sheep during the recent foot and mouth outbreak, and now produces its own 'organic' lamb as well as benefiting from the sheep 'mowing' large areas of land productively.

The project also has chickens and ducks and has long term plans to own a small dairy cow for dairy products.

More unusually the project includes bee-keeping and low-intensity fish farming. The bee hives can produce over 300lb's of honey a year, whilst the lakes provide the occasional carp for the table.
