man and his pig? |
The
BBC station for North Yorkshire will be dedicating its 104.3 FM
frequency to broadcasting from the show ground.
Join
Kathryn Apanowicz, Alex Hall and David Dunning on the famous Radio
York buggy. "It's a simple golf buggy , converted into a mobile
studio" said David, who's also the producer of the massive
24 hour Outside Broadcast.
It
allows the presenters to go anywhere on the show ground and talk
live to virtually anyone.
Although
as David recalls on one occasion the buggy went a little further
than the presenters planned.
"Last
year we were the victim of a joy rider. We were broadcasting a piece
about ferrets and when we came out of the tent, although our radio
mic was still on air, the buggy was being driven at high speed by
a thief up the hill"
The
buggy was recovered and the broadcast continued without a hitch.
Show
Radio is on air daily from 9am to 5pm on 104.3 FM.
