 Hello from Rhoda!

This is Rhoda, I’m 31, live in York, have just given up my job and am about to embark on a tour of Europe, the US and India in search of alternative communities.

Wherever and whatever they happen to be; eco-villages, organic farming initiatives or spiritual communities, I'll let you know what I find.

I’m hoping to meet people who are interested in different ways of living, living in ways which explore being kind to the planet, developing a sense of community and in putting beliefs first.

I want to meet people who have had the courage to leave the rat race and to try something else, and to find out if it makes them happier and how they feel about being labelled "alternative."

My first stop will be Holma College in southern Sweden, an independent college which aims to provide a learning community for students to "develop and practice their ideals for personal and global well-being."

I will be joining the resident students for a three day workshop on group dynamics and creative expression, to include dance, guided meditations, voice work, sharing circles and more.

Watch this space to find out how it goes!
