Hi
I'm Felicity, I'm 20 and I am in my 2nd year at York uni, studying
the wonderful subject that is English!
Home
for me is Worcester in the Midlands - which bears a striking and
slightly spooky resemblance to York! I feel like I don't even leave
home
sometimes!
Before
moving to Worcester this summer, I lived and grew up in the quaint
yet slightly boring village of Broadway in the Cotswolds - great
place to visit, but not so good to spend your teenage years! Especially
as your only neighbours are sheep and buses come round every day
or two if you're lucky!
I took
a gap between A-levels and Uni to travel and chill for a bit. I
spent 4 months in Italy then Thailand - which is possibly my most
favourite
country in the world! And I also spent a 3 months in China teaching
English, which was an amazing experience and opened my eyes a lot!
One
thing about travelling that is a slight cliche, yet totally true,
is that you do get the travel bug! The amount of times I want to
jet off is getting silly now! I even ended up living in Cambridge
this summer, just for a change!
I did
manage to get to New York in September though - just this time I
took a suitcase instead of a backpack - sometimes you just have
to live the high-life! Unfortunately my bank balance wouldn't stretch
to some, actually most, of the shops on 5th Avenue!
But
now I'm back from a great summer to embark on my second year of
study! And I've decided to pull my finger out this year by actually
getting a
job, which not only gets me out of bed on those non-lecture days,
it also funds my nights out! Why on earth I didn't do this in the
first year I don't know!
So
here goes to another year, which already seems to be disappearing
fast! So I'm just making sure I am making the most of it this time!Whatever
that may require! So, that's me and I hope you enjoy my student
diaries!
Could
you be a student diarist?
