flight training bases in the country.

RAF
Linton on Ouse has been an important flight training base since
1957, and around 70 pilots earn their wings there every year.
Number
One Flying Training School is responsible for providing basic fast-jet
pilot training for the pilots of the RAF and Royal Navy. Linton
on Ouse is the RAF's only Tucano base, and every serving fast jet
pilot and weapon systems officer will be trained here.
