Gone are the days when photography was
for the privileged few. Some people have now got more cameras then
keys.

| Got
a great pic of your mates having fun? You can share it here.
|
So it's easier than ever to capture that moment. Whether it's a
special event in the county, a stunning sunset, a monster snow drift
or just you and your mates having fun: if you've got a picture you
want to share you can send it in.
We receive pictures by e-mail so if you have a digital camera connected
to your PC, simply download the picture and send it off. If you
use a film camera you'll need to scan in your picture first.
But what about mobile phones? More and more people have cameras
on their phones and although these don't take the best pictures,
some are getting pretty good (see the picture at the top of this
page).

A tree hit by lightning - see something like this when you're
out and about? Take a pic on your phone! |
Probably the easiest way to send pictures from a mobile is via
MMS* (Multimedia Messaging Service) which is a bit like a text message,
but can be used for pictures as well as text. What's more you can
send an MMS message to an e-mail address.
So if you have a camera phone, everything you need to send us a
picture is in your hand. Take the snap, add a bit of text telling
us who you are and what the picture is, then send it to our e-mail
address.
We can't publish all the pictures we receive, but we try to use
as many as possible.
Send all pictures to: northyorkshire@bbc.co.uk
*Please note that most mobile operators will
charge for sending MMS messages. For more information contact your
service provider.
