In a special broadcast on BBC Radio York, Dr Sentamu also told York City footballers to "get a grip". Help playing audio/video In a special Easter broadcast on BBC Radio York, the Archbishop of York has told the people of North Yorkshire not to be afraid. "Life has become very difficult, very tough, some people have lost their jobs here in York," admitted Dr Sentamu. ![]() Dr Sentamu (Dave Morton/PA Wire) He continued: "People who have been working for Norwich Union for years, quite a number have lost their jobs, lost their homes, some have lost their loved ones." The Archbishop also spoke about the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence who went missing last month: "We're still living in this great difficulty of Claudia Lawrence still missing and all of us are involved in trying to find where is she trying to remind everybody "please don't forget, don't forget her, this is her face". ![]() Claudia Lawrence He revealed that he has placed a photograph of the 35-year old university of York chef in the chapel at Bishopthorpe Palace. Staff at the palace hold hourly prayers for the safe discovery of Miss Lawrence. Football also featured in the archbishop's address. He spoke of his disappointment at the scheduling of Premier League matches on Easter Sunday: "Do not think of kicking a ball of air around, 22 people chasing a ball is all life is about - there is a time and a place."
Dr Sentamu gave special mention to his beloved York City FC.
