Music FeaturesYou are in: North Yorkshire > Entertainment > Music > Music Features > Dave Dark & The Sharks ![]() Dave Dark & The SharksAlthough we didn't see him in person, the unmistakable presence of Dave Dark could be felt in the BBC Radio York studios as his official spokesman Rich Wilde joined More Raw Introducing for a live session. The Sharks began life when Rich Wilde downloaded some remix samples from the website of William Orbit. A couple of years later and not only are The Sharks releasing tunes on major download sites, but the mysterious Dave Dark is being commissioned to remix work by other bands. The music is best described as upbeat ambient electronica (do let us know if you can do better). Luscious synth pads wash over insistent, but never overwhelming, beats. Up until the end of 2007 Dave Dark & The Sharks have been a purely studio based project. But in 2008 Rich hopes to be able to take the tunes on the road. Watch this space.
