Apply The Brakes in session

York band Apply The Brakes have a high energy sound that manages to be classic and contemporary at the same time. Listen again to their session on BBC Radio York from the 29th November 2007.

Apply The Brakes have a great sound with loads of energy. They list The Black Keys and Kings Of Leon among their influences. It's easy to spot elements of these bands in their music, but overall it's a sound that's undeniably British.

The end result is a band with material that doesn't sound out of place next to classic blues-rock, but with a healthy dose of brit-pop and punk. Nice.

On the 29th November 2007 they played a live session for More Raw Introducing on BBC Radio York.
