Suranne Jones and John Bowe

Both Suranne and John appeared in Coronation Street and they've recently been appearing in Terms of Endearment at York's Theatre Royal. They popped in to BBC Radio York to have a chat with Adam Tomlinson...

By a strange co-incidence both Suranne Jones and John Bowe have appeared in Coronation Street - at the same time - and they have recently appeared in Terms of Endearment along with Dallas star Linda Gray at York's Theatre Royal.

They called in to BBC Radio York's studio after the first night party!

In Coronation Street Suranne played feisty Karen Macdonald, who left the Street in a blind fury after she discovered that husband Steve was the father of Tracy Barlow's daughter!

She's since appeared on TV in Vincent with Ray Winstone and starred in Dead Clever and Strictly Confidential as well as appearing on the West End stage in An Officer and a Gentleman with Rob Lowe and John Barrowman.

John Bowe has been acting since the early 1980s and appeared on stage with the RSC - he first came to the public's attention over ten years ago when he played creepy serial killer George Marlow in Prime Suspect.

As Duggie Ferguson in Coronation Street, he briefly held court behind the bar at the Rovers before being left to die by serial killer Richard Hillman.
