At 10:50 am, two people were rescued from their car after a landslip on the A59 at Blubberhouses near Harrogate. The couple, a man and a woman, were in a black Mercedes estate when they were hit by a landslide. Their car was engulfed in mud and rubble, which covered the vehicle almost to the roof.
