Charles White, aka Dr Rock, has entertained with his encyclopaedic knowledge for years. In fact if there's anyone more knowledgable and passionate about rock 'n' roll - they probably need help. Get inside his head with our questionnaire!

Star sign:  Capricorn.

Born 'n' Bred: Dublin, but brought up in Roscommon in the West of Ireland.

First memory:  Awed at the life and creation of all.

First record bought:  Long Tall Sally by Little Richard.

First job:  Working on a farm and messenger boy.

Little known fact about yourself:  I'm a serious conservationist and I go hiking.

Favourite food and drink: Organic beef - roast or steaks, seafood, wine!

Favourite place in the world:  The Balearic Island, Formentera.

Favourite place in North Yorkshire:  Ravenscar.

Any pet hates:  Smoking and those who smoke.

What would your desert island luxury be:   A music centre with my favourite albums.

Most embarrassing radio moment:  Too many! Perhaps telling Enoch Powell on Any Questions that politicians will continue to insult the public's intelligence.

Best radio moment:  Broadcasting with Johnny Otis on KPFK in Los Angeles and getting a phone call from Mexico.

Who would be your dream co-presenter:  Laurel and Hardy.

If you weren’t a broadcaster what would you be:  Just me, I am what I am.

Describe your programme in one sentence:  Playing the best possible rock and roll music by it's greatest exponents and doing biographies of the most influential artists from all genres of this wonderful art which helped bring the family of man together. ie Entertainment.
