Stuart Flinders

Stuart Flinders

He began his journalism career in radio and continues occasionally to present the Radio Four programme You and Yours.

For North West Tonight he was in Preston when Britain's biggest serial killer, Harold Shipman, was convicted of murder; and in the US for the trial in court and on live TV of the nanny, Louise Woodward.

In the late 1980s he spent a year in Australia working for newspapers there. But the lure of his beloved Bolton Wanderers, then an upwardly mobile third division side, brought him back to these shores.

Neither he nor the Wanderers have looked back since.
