Colin Sykes

He started in newspapers before moving into radio and then television with the BBC where, after a stint at Radio Sheffield and then BBC Westminster, he became news editor and then deputy manager at Radio Manchester.

Colin's current brief involves a car boot full of wet weather clothing and a box full of maps, though he's still resisting the trainspotter's flask and notebook.

Colin is from Manchester but now lives in the Peak District. Outside work he is a keen pianist and horse rider. Not at the same time, obviously.
