Jackie Bird sent in this photograph of the clock at Houstons in Banbridge and suggested we do an article on town clocks in Northern Ireland. He took this photograph in August (2003). Look at that beautiful blue sky - a wonderful reminder of the terrific weather we had this summer.

Maurice McAlister thinks Jackie's idea of photographs of 'Town Clocks' is excellent and will make a good talking point. He goes on to say "That put a thought into my head, what about any clock face that's attached to a building. I have sent you an example. The clock tower at Castleward ( see below ). The tower isn't even near the 'house' or the town of Strangford. I'm sure there are lots of 'clock faces' out there and it would be nice to see all the variations of time pieces."
