Thread Quilters - 'Ancient Ireland' 11. Birds of a Feather - Margaret Mehaffey Stained glass appliqued wall-hanging of two Celtic birds. My inspiration
came from a holiday in Alaska. I was struck by the similarities
of their mythological birds, animals and ours, both in form and
characteristics. The stance of these two birds seemed to epitomise
society in Northern Ireland today - two similar beings not actually
making eye contact and looking aloft and therefore unable to see
