I think you would be very interested in
a man called Dennis Lennard who is 92 years young. I have
sat and listened to him talking about his native townland
called the Knocks (which is where I came from 48 years
ago) and he would hold you captivated for hours. His knowledge
of Lisnaskea and Fermanagh is incredible. He is the grandfather
of the Lennard boys who were featured on the tv series
vets. I know that he has written a book as yet unpublished.
I would love to hear him on the radio as I'm sure many
other people would too.

My father was James Desmond Connors, brother of Joseph Patrick
and Kathleen Connors, and find that your respondent Andrew
Connors is my cousin. I would also be interested in obtaining
a copy of the book, and of any other information available
as I would like to visit Lisnaskea later this year to find
out more about the family.

My mother was born in Lisnaskea in 1914 Susanna McFarland
and her mother Kathleen immigrated to NYC. Susanna followed
in 1924 with her Aunt Mary McFarland. I will be visiting and
would like to know more about the area. I still have cousins
there whom I will also be seeing. I am particularly interested
in the traditional music scene in the area since I am a singer/guitar
player.
