Hello
I would like to know where I may be able to have a sign made up of an old Belfast Street, namely SEVASTOPOL STREET. Would anyone know where I can get one. Thanking You.

I would like to contact any researcher interested in "very old Belfast", particularly anybody who may have information about the Vienna Photo Studio at 14 Queen's Arcade.

I am trying to research history relating to the Markets Area of Belfast with particular reference to The Royal George public house which was on East Bridge Street, opposite the fruit market.
My grandfather John Campbell (RIP) owned The Royal George during the 50's and early 60's and it remained in the family for a few years until bought by Seamus McLennan. It was eventually subject to re-development and is no more.
I left Belfast in 1969 and only return very rarely. Before it's too late (none of us is getting any younger) I would be very interested in any memories anyone might have about The Royal George. I have many childhood (and some adult) memories of the place and would love to hear from anyone who can expand my knowledge.

I would love to purchase a book entitled "THE CAREYS OF BELFAST" I have been told it is out of print now. My father was a CAREY from Belfast.

I was born and raised in east Belfast, Newtownards Road. The street I was born is no longer there they were known as the 4 H,s - Hunt, Hart, Hind and Hemp - just where the Newtownards and Albertbridge Roads meet. I was very lucky just before they knocked the houses down I was home on holidays from Canada. I have been here from 1964 and I was able to get the Hunt street sign off the wall and I have it on my garden fence here in Brampton Canada. Its one thing I will always treasure every now and then I find myself just staring at it and then memories start coming back. Great little place.

" I would say this picture was taken around 1974 - 5. Notice bottom of picture is Hope St. I visited in 1971 building on the corner Victoria and Hope St was still standing now in second visit 1975 building is now gone."
