Hand-tamed
Domesticated in their original habitat in the Arctic
regions where for generations they have provided meat,
clothing and transport, these hand-tamed Scots descendants
are docile creatures in the main, allowing for individual
personalities and the "autumn rut" when things can get
a bit lively!
Adopting
All the reindeer in the Cairngorm Herd have names and
the public can visit and adopt them. We have now chosen
an almost white young female called "MINE" and are happy
that the adoption fee helps towards supporting this
unique British herd of around 150 animals.
Delight
So, until we meet up with her next year amid the lichen
and springy turf at Glenmore, my thanks to the Tower
Shopping Centre for bringing smiles of delight to thousands
of faces including mine, and brightening up a dull winter's
night with this sparkling parade.

I was envious of his reindeer jacket. |

Did it really happen?
Did I really see reindeer in Ballymena? Just like Brigadoon
it all quickly vanished into the mist - but I can still
almost see the heather and smell the mountain air!

Your Responses...
George - Aug '08
Hello
I am writing from a film company in London. We are shooting
a charity event where children make a wish, one of the children's
wishes is to meet Father Christmas and ride on a sleigh pulled
by reindeer.
We need this to take place in September. Would you know if
this is possible to do with you?
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
George Burt
