Get
to the theme parks early or before the place opens. This way you
will avoid the large queues and it's much cooler.
Gather some of the leaflets as they’ll
give you a map of the area and also give you show times too.
When
you’re parking your car make a note of your parking place ie.
lot and row number so you can find it later. The parking lots are
absolutely massive and at the end of a long day you don’t want
to spend hours hunting for your hire car.
Bring
a change of clothing as the heat and humidity of Florida can get you
a bit sticky and some of the rides will leave you absolutely drenched.
Wear comfortable shoes because you’re going to do a lot of walking.
If you’ve got kids it's worthwhile hiring a stroller because
little people will get very tired.
Bring
an autograph book because your kids will bump into some of their favourite
characters.
America
has a tipping culture and it’s at least 15% of the total bill.
It’s worth remembering to check your receipt in case the gratuity
has already been added because you don’t want to be tipping
twice.
Most
of the accommodation in Orlando is on a room only basis. Paying for
three square meals a day is going to add up. We recommend that you
eat a big breakfast in a real diner and then spend the rest of the
day surviving on snacks. It’s worth bearing in mind that in
a lot of diners, kids eat free.
When
you are going out at night and fancy an alcoholic drink you have to
be over 21. Do remember to bring your bring ID because they will ask
you for it.
Plan
your day as you wont get to see everything. If you do a bit of research
you’ll avoid disappointment. The best way of avoiding a stressful
time is to be realistic about what you can achieve in one trip to
Orlando. There's just so much to see and do.
