Jersey
has about 45 miles of shoreline and of that about 20 miles are beaches
so you can’t be anywhere in the island and be more than 2.5
miles from a beach. There are just plenty of options for you to choose
from.

In
the south around St Helier and St Aubin there are
soft sandy beaches that are very popular with the young tourists and
great for water sports but they can get very crowded in the summer.

By
contrast the East coast has quiet pebbled beaches
and cute coves favoured by the locals.

In
the West the Atlantic Ocean provides great waves
for surfing like at St Ouens Bay - a five-mile stretch of sandy beach.

And
in the North there are beautiful bays popular with
families including our favourite Greve de Lecq where the tide never
goes out too far to have a swim.
