Telecabina
The Telecabina without a doubt the coolest way to get a birds-eye
view of Benalmadena. The view at the top is absolutely amazing. The
cable car takes about 12 minutes to ascend to the top by climbing
to over 700 feet. From there there's just fantastic views.
A round trip costs £7 for adults and £5 for children

Crocodile
farm
The Crocodile farm is 15-minute
bus ride from Benalmadena . The park is home to more than 300 crocodiles
including species from Africa, Asia and Australia. Some people may
think that’s far too many animals for the space provided, but
they seem happy enough. Well as happy as crocodiles get, and it is
good entertainment for the kids. Parents be warned because they do
let your little darlings handle the crocks. They may be only six months
old and perfectly safe, but Joe was glad to see that it’s got
an elastic band around its mouth! The Crock
Park is 5km from Benalmadena and the entrance fee for adults is £5
and for the kids it's £3.50. |

for the Tivoli Amusement Park. A magical wonderland guaranteed to
tire out the kids with a series of exciting rides and thrilling shows.
It opens from 5pm in the evening till 2am in the morning. The amusement
park has more than 30 rides and attractions and at night is a hive
of activity. They have rides to suit all ages and for the thrill seekers
there is a number of more exciting rides and just like Barry’s
in Portrush – one roller coaster. The
easiest way to get to Tivoli Amusement Park is by taking a taxi. The
entrance fee is £3 for both adults and children. You can either
pay for the rides individually or buy a ticket for £8, which

Puerto
Banus
When you come to Costa del Sol the one place that you really shouldn’t
miss is swanky Puerto Banus. It’s got great restaurants, great
bars, shops and it’s the perfect place to moor your yacht! Puerto
Banus is situated 40km west of Benalmadena and it’s the playground
of the rich and famous. If you’re tired of Monte Carlo and are
looking for somewhere else to park your swanky boat, then this is
the spot. It can cost around £340 a day to moor a 50-meter boat
here in high season. There are plenty of celebrities who do just that
so there is a fair possibility that you might spot one. Suzanne
and Dawn spotted Steve McDonald from Coronation Street whilst having
lunch by the Marina. It is possible to eat along the Marina at quite
a reasonable price.

Mijas
Mijas is situated in the hills about 10 km away from the coast. Because
if its hill top location Mijas offers great views. It’s a Pueblo
Blanco, which translates as white village and thousands of tourist’s
flock here every year. You can get around on a donkey, which are actually
licensed taxis here, but Suzanne decided to give the donkeys a rest
and take a leisurely walk through the maze like back streets. Although
Mijas has become a popular tourist attraction, it has retained its
Andalusian charm with terraced houses adorned with colourful flowers
and over all it’s a pleasant place to spend half a day. If you’re
looking for souvenirs you’ll be spoilt for choice here with
plenty of ceramics, jewellery and leather goods on offer.

Bull Fighting
Spain is proud of its bull fighting tradition and nearly every town
has a bullring. Mijas is no exception you can come up here most weekends
and watch a bull fight in these beautiful surroundings. Some people
think its really exhilarating, pure entertainment and other people
are dead set against the idea. If it's for you, bear in mind it’s
quite costly and you will pay more to sit in the shade.

Eating
out
Eating out is cheap and there is an abundance of restaurants in all
the resorts to choice from. Some of them have boards outside displaying
all their dishes, but the one thing you really should try when you’re
here is the Tapas.
You'll get cold meatballs, prawns, sea-food salad and roasted peppers.
Those are just the cold ones to pick from. You can choose hot ones
as well. The best thing about tapas is it's small, it’s cheap
and you don’t get too full up when you’re eating it.

Nightlife
The majority of the nightlife in Benalmadena takes place near the
harbour in the tourist strip. There are dozens of shops and restaurants
lining the quayside with the back-drop of boats and yachts. Behind
the marina is the area known as 24-hour square and as the name suggests
the nightlife goes on all night long. Probably not the place to be
if you’re out for a night with your kids but there is another
option (see Tivoli Amusement Park)
