A one-off Irish language documentary featuring the
natives of Inishbofin Island off the coast of Donegal, which is only
habitable during the summer months, whether by humans or by the rare
and elusive corncrake.
This documentary chronicles the annual migration of two populations to the island, the return of the corncrakes from
sunnier climes and that of various families and individuals from the
mainland, to their ancestral homes where, isolated from most modern
conveniences, they struggle to preserve a dying way of life.
