About the Programme

Across The Line presenter Rigsy has brought BBC Northern Ireland viewers the ultimate soundtrack to the summer, featuring some of the biggest and best music festivals in the land.

This, the last of the four prgorammes, brings you coverage from Belfast's newest festival, Belsonic at Custom House Square, Belfast, with performances and chat from The Zutons, The Go Team, The Mystery Jets, Future of The Left and General Fiasco.

The four-part series has so far brought this summer’s festival frenzy to the small screen as Rigsy gained access all areas to Oxegen at the Punchestown Racecourse, Co Kildare; Glasgowbury in Draperstown, Co Londonderry; to catch up with the biggest and best acts, relive some of the most blistering performances and speak to the festival-goers.

ATL Summer Live kicked off on Thursday August 7 on BBC Two NI with an hour-long special looking at the highlights of year’s Oxegen Festival, including live music from Kings of Leon, The Ting Tings, The Prodigy, Black Kids, Vampire Weekend and Fight Like Apes, among others.

The following week, Thursday August 14, ATL Summer Live turned its attention to the Glasgowbury festival in Draperstown, featuring live music and chat from headliners Ash and other acts, including Fighting With Wire, and also boasted a feature on the north west’s Celtronic festival, a week-long celebration of electronica which featured live music from local acts such as Alloy Mental and Japanese Popstars.

Rigsy says: “Every year ATL is at the festivals, bringing live music and behind the scenes banter, but now we’re totally delighted to bring the TV cameras along to capture the biggest live music events in Northern Ireland and beyond.
