Student Life Diary

Year 2, Week 34

After handing in my project and seminar on time this week I decided that I should maybe try a bit of retail therapy to help me relax and prepare for the exams.

THe menagerie gigOk so it doesn’t really help me with my exams by shopping around with no money, but I did manage to find a really cool t-shirt with space invaders on it and bought a few CDs, which by the way are either by Bach or Beethoven! I just love being a music geek!

Apart from the spending spree, the boys had two gigs on this week in the Menagerie and Katy Daly’s, which I went along to support. The Menagerie gig was particularly good, not only because Dave’s girlfriend Audrey came to see it, but the general level of drunkenness seemed quite high that night, although note to self: don’t dance like a maniac if you have a stomach full of beer, it never feels good afterwards!

I think the boys were impressed by their performances at both venues and I have to admit they are really getting their act together with a CD almost ready and the launch of their website this week (www.spatialisation.com/pj3/brennan) they might just be the next Beatles!

Katy Daly's gig Apart from the boys playing this week, with the practical exams coming up soon I’ve had to drag my cello out all this week to practise pieces that should have been practised long ago. I know I should have started practising ages ago but I thought Kat and Alfie were going to finally get together this week in 'Eastenders' so I HAD to watch it. I don’t know what it is but I am becoming the unofficial ‘queen’ of doing things late!
