Student Life Diary


Year 3, Diary entry 27. 13 May 2004.

It scares me that in the past week I’ve spent more time in the music department than I have at home! It’s been a mixture of lying about complaining to my class mates about the exams and actually working!
If it wasn’t for the fact that next week is my last week of class I think you would find me at the bottom of a bottle in the students union!

It’s not even that I have a lot of work, it’s just the ‘leaving it to the last minute’ and ‘missing the classes that would have explained what I was meant to do properly’ that’s messing me up!

The whole house though is starting to freak out about exams but at least they have the luxury of all being second years and not having to worry about what job they’re going to have to find in September!

I didn’t even get a chance to be sociable this week except for a quick scoot to the ‘Waterfront’ to see Colin Murphy. I think it’s his impression of ‘spides’ that does it for me every time (he’s a regular host at the Student Unions comedy nights), and his complex understanding of major religious groups!

He was a welcome comic relief for the week which culminated in me actually having to miss neighbours several days in a row just to get work done! But now all I’m thinking about is how to organise my going out timetable against my exam timetable for the next month!
