Student Life Diary

Year 3, Diary entry 23. 14 April 2004.

Despite it being the first week of holidays I decided that instead of lying about (which I do anyway) I would at least try and do some work. That plan kind of went out the window when I started spending most of the week in the students union with Niall, Mark and Nicola! Admittedly it wasn’t planned we just took a notion but as you can imagine I didn’t get much schoolwork done!

Apart from the stint at the union, we decided that because it was the last week together, and everyone was going home for the holidays, we should have a ‘family’ outing to the bowling alley. Mark took some persuasion but he eventually caved in and we got to go. Although we soon found out why Mark didn’t want to go.

Being beaten by a load of girls isn’t exactly how Mark planned his evening, but at least he got a strike, although it was in his last go so it didn’t help his score much!! He was much better at the video arcade though, beating Niall several times in some really boring shoot ‘em up! While Mark was beating Niall, Nicola was beating me on some horrendously fast car game, I did try and at least I didn’t come last, OK I came second last!

We had a bit of a Zombie-movie fest this week. I refused to go see ‘Dawn of the Dead’ when Niall and Nicola went this week, knowing I wouldn’t be able to sleep after seeing it (!) but decided that I would at least watch the original. And yes before you ask films can’t be scary if the acting is that bad and the Zombies look more like clowns than scary undead people! Shaun of the DeadThe best zombie film though has to be ‘Shaun of the Dead’! The zombies may look scary but with the hero of the story trying to kill them by throwing records at them you can’t be too scared!
