Episode 16
Same Difference

Hilda’s family is coming over, and Potto admits that he feels uncomfortable because he looks different than they do. When the question comes in, "Why do we all look different?" Hilda goes to visit different children all over Northern Ireland. Potto and Hilda discover that everyone looks different, and everyone has things in common as well.

Episode 17
Potto’s Perfect Picnic

Hilda wants to have a picnic, but Potto is afraid to go outside because it’s unpredictable out there. The question comes in - "My brother wants to go camping, but I’m scared. What should I do?" and Hilda runs off to consult with the Life Boys preparing for a night walk. After consulting with his relative Telly Monster, Potto learns that being prepared helps you feel ready for anything.

Episode 18
Sad Hare Blues

Hilda is feeling glum because Claribelle hasn’t visited the tree in some time. Try as he might, Potto can’t seem to cheer her up and he starts feeling rather blue himself. When the question comes in, "Why do I feel sad when my friend Gabrielle feels sad?" Potto calls up his friends to investigate while Hilda visits a hospital to find out about feelings. They discover that it’s alright to feel sad sometimes, and that friends can help to cheer you up.

Episode 19
The Goldfish Tree

When Hilda enters the Sesame Tree with a new pet goldfish and wants to plant it in the earth so that she can grow more goldfish, the question comes just in time! In search of the answer to "Why do some things live on the earth, some in the air and some in water?" Hilda visits a seal sanctuary, and learns that different things have different needs.

The child will have the opportunity to look at:

  • their responsibilities for self and others;
  • how to respond appropriately in conflict situations;
  • similarities and differences between groups of people.

Episode 20
A Very Special Visitor

Claribelle is all a-flap and a-flutter because she’s been chosen to sing in the Dawn Chorus, while Potto reveals that he’s afraid to sing in front of other people. The question "Why do we sing and dance?" gives Hilda the chance to visit with kids all over Northern Ireland as they join together in song. With the help of guest star Duke Special, Potto learns that singing and dancing is one way that we let out what’s inside of us.
