Using This Site

The site complements the "Sesame Tree" television series which the BBC is acquiring from the Sesame Street Workshop.

The website creates an immersive environment that encourages children to explore the interactive elements of the Sesame Tree and meet the characters who live there.

Aimed at 3-6 year olds the television series and website reflect the specific requirements of the Northern Ireland Curriculum at Foundation level.

In the Classroom or at Home

The resource is designed to be used by children independently, or within pair or group environments in formal or informal learning settings. Download your Support Material and Learning Matrices, these connect the television series with the website and enable the learner to go on a series of interactive learning journeys.

Visit the Big Whizzing Machine to meet the Sesame Street's 'Friends'. View clips, or try Singing Along to favourite songs from the series.

Scrapbook Suggestion

Throughout the resource there are opportunities for the learner to print out Activity Sheets and collect rewards. A Scrapbook could be used to record progression over a period of time used as a discussion tool with the child to review and evaluate their own work.
